Audition Registration for Non-AEA Members is now CLOSED.

Actors who receive an audition slot will be notified of their assigned date and time on or by March 14th at 5pm.  Actors who do not receive an audition slot will be placed on the wait list.

The StageSource Annual Auditions for Non- Equity performers will take place on

Sunday, April 2, 2017 and Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

APPLICATION PROCESS: NON-EQUITY PERFORMERS (AEA performers, see the AEA Info Page)

***You must be a current PAID StageSource member in good standing now and at the time of your audition with a headshot, resume and contact information filled out in your profile in order to participate in the non-equity auditions.

***If your profile is missing a headshot, resume or contact information or you are not currently or will not be a current paid StageSource member at the time of the auditions you will not be entered into the lottery.  It is highly recommended that you also add demographic information and professional information (actor/singer/dancer, etc.) to your profile so that producers can find more information about you prior to or after the auditions.

APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER March 7th WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE WAITLIST.

ABOUT THE LOTTERY:

We use a lottery system to assign non-Equity audition slots according to the following priorities:

  •  First priority will be given to those people who did not audition at the 2016 Auditions.
  •  Second priority will be given to those people who did audition at the 2016 Auditions.
  •  Third priority will be given to those people who confirmed but did not audition in 2016.
  •  We will do our very best to schedule all auditions in the most fair and equitable manner possible.  We cannot honor requests for specific dates or times.
  •  Non-Equity auditions are open to PAID StageSource members who are in good standing only.
  •  No one is guaranteed a time slot. All assignments are final.
  •  Incomplete applications will not be processed. Please check carefully before submitting! You will need to have a headshot and contact information (phone number and email) filled out in your online profile to be assigned a slot. Please be prepared to bring at least 45 copies of your headshot with your resume trimmed to size and glued or stapled to the back to the audition location on the day of your audition. This number may change by the day of the auditions

NOTIFICATION OF ASSIGNMENT:

You will receive notice of your assignment on or by Tuesday, March 14th. You will need to confirm your assignment by Tuesday, March 21st at 5:00 PM by emailing auditions@stagesource.org and confirming both the day and the time of your assignment in the body of the email. Assignments that are not confirmed will be forfeited and given to someone on the waitlist.

This year, we will be providing all organizations with a list of every person who signed up regardless of whether or not they ultimately receive an audition slot.

THE AUDITION DAY:

Audition slot
: If given an audition slot, you will be assigned to a half-hour time slot during which you will have TWO MINUTES TOTAL to perform, strictly enforced, to audition. You must arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your assigned half-hour time slot.

If you choose to sing, you may provide your own accompanist or bring a cued, battery-operated tape or CD player or use the provided accompanist. StageSource will provide an accompanist from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on April 4th.

If you choose to use the provided accompanist, you will be provided with a moment or two to speak to the accompanist prior to your audition to explain the tempo, breaks, and changes. Contact information for the accompanist will be included in your audition assignment email.

CANCELLING YOUR ASSIGNMENT:

If you must cancel your assigned slot, please contact StageSource at auditions@stagesource.org no later than 1 week prior to your assignment so that we can fill the slot in a timely manner. Failure to cancel your assignment may prevent you from receiving a slot in future years.
