But what I really want to do is write – Actors Write Plays.
A series of five writing sessions geared for the experienced actor and novice playwright. If you want to write monologues, plays, or start writing your own material for solo performance, this class will give you a foundation. In a supportive and relaxed atmosphere, we'll get your imagination going and draw upon your acting skills to fuel to create compelling scenes and characters. Participants will bring in new work each week and read aloud in class. Weekly writing assignments and in-class exercises. The series will culminate in a public reading of works produced by the class, if there is a desire!
Huntington Playwriting Fellow Melinda Lopez leads this five week workshop.
