One of the subcommittees of the Gender Parity Task Force is the Audience Engagement Committee. The mission of this subcommitee is to create and coordinate audience engagement initiatives that promote awareness around and engagement in the gender parity issue. Contribute to Standing O on social media, plan Parity Parties, and will reach out to other organizations in the area with a vested interest in our work, but not necessarily from a theater perspective.
The public facing group is called the STANDING O

Standing O Programs:
Standing O Stamp - StageSource members may opt themselves into being considered for a Standing O Stamp. The Standing O committee looks at each event submitted to the StagePage and determines whether or not an event qualifies.
An event qualifies for a Standing O if it meets three of the following five criteria:
If it does, it is put on the StagePage. Even if you miss the StagePage Deadline (March 15 for Summer, July 15 for Fall, and November 15 for Winter/Spring) you can still submit to the StagePage and get a "retroactive Standing O", which will appear on the online version of the StagePage, MyStagePage.com.
The StagePage is printed three times a year. Submissions are accepted from StageSource members only. The StagePage is sent to individual members and Theater Lovers and Press. It is also available at different theater companies, and is dropped at several Boston hotels.

Parity Parties are events to promote Standing O recipients and bring audiences to these events! When you submit your event to the StagePage, make sure to check the box on the form and let us know that you are interested in being considered for a Parity Party. If you have questions, or decided you'd like to be considered after you submitted your event, contact StandingO (StandingO @ stagesource.org) here at StageSource.
