Robert Murphy is an actor and member of Actor’s Equity Association. He has performed with North Shore Music Theatre, SpeakEasy Stage, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, Underground Railway Theatre, Stoneham Theatre, and Zeitgeist Stage Company; understudied at the Huntington; and appeared in numerous films and commercials. In addition, he has been associated with Weston Playhouse in Vermont, since 1971. He is one of the founding members of the LE GRAND DAVID STAGE MAGIC COMPANY and was involved in the purchase and renovation of two vintage theatres in Beverly, MA (the 800-seat Cabot Theatre, built in 1912, and the 600-seat Larcom Theatre, built in 1920). During his time with this company, he performed over 1,100 shows, including seven performances at the White House. In addition, Mr. Murphy founded a full service real estate appraisal and consulting company in 1989, and is a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and as a Senior Residential Appraiser (SRA) by the Appraisal Institute, Chicago IL, the world’s leading organization of professional real estate appraisers. Mr. Murphy is a member of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce and the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, and he currently serves, or has served, on the board of the Beverly Rotary Club, the Massachusetts Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the Beverly Council on Aging, and the Greater Beverly Red Cross.
