Announcing the award-winning Boston Theater Marathon on Sunday, May 21, 2006, at 12 noon: A ten-hour marathon of 50 new ten-minute plays by local authors, each one produced by a different New England theatre company, all performed in one place in one amazing day. 50 plays for just one $30 pass! Stay for the whole day or come and go as you please.  The 8th Annual Boston Theatre Marathon will be held in the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts (Directions.) 

In 2000, the BTM received a special Elliot Norton Award for "Enlivening Local Theatre." Proceeds benefit the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund, a non-profit theatre community organization to benefit StageSource theatre artists and organizations who face dire need and require financial assistance.

Actors, looking to participate in the Boston Theatre Marathon?  Make sure your headshot and resume have been uploaded to the StageSource Headshot and Resume database.  It's times like these that the database was created for.  Not sure how to do it?  Call us at 617-720-6066 and we'll walk you through it.  You must have a copy of your headshot on CD or on your computer's hard drive in order to take advantage.

Organizations, looking for talent for the Boston Theatre Marathon?  Organizational Members can login to your profile and browse the headshots and resumes our members have posted.  After you login click the Search Artists link.  You can sort members by category: gender, height, Union affiliation or any combination.  (Hair color, eye color or ethnicity search functions are not available at this time.) 

A reminder: participation in the Boston Theatre Marathon is strictly volunteer!
