SUMMER L. WILLIAMS
Summer Williams is the Director of Theatrical Training for Company One and has been with the theatre since its inception in 1998. An active member of the Board of Directors, Ms. Williams is a producer, director and actor as well for Company One. Summer also serves as an administrator of its educational component, Stage One. Her directing credits include Spell #7 (IRNE- nominated for multiple awards), Jesus Hopped the ‘A' Train, (Winner of the 2003 Elliot Norton Award for Best Fringe Production) and Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 (IRNE- nominated for multiple awards). Other directing credits include Ntozake Shange's for colored girls who have considered suicide/ when the rainbow is enuf and Truth: an Evening of Conversation, which included pieces by Israel Horovitz, Conrad Bishop and Elizabeth Fuller. Ms. Williams graduated from Clark University with a Bachelors' Degree in Theatre and a Masters' Degree in Theatre Education. She is licensed to teach grades K-12 and currently teaches and directs at Brookline High School in Brookline, MA. Summer looks forward to further developing Company One's artistic efforts and fulfilling its mission “to be a source of Boston's most inspired collaborations”.
