| FIDDLEHEAD THEATRE ANNOUNCES SEASON Fiddlehead Theatre in Norwood is celebrating its tenth anniversary and 2007 – 2008 season in a big way: by going professional. My Fair Lady starts the season off, followed by A Christmas Carol, Steel Magnolias, and Gershwin’s Crazy for You. Fiddlehead is also celebrating the 80th birthday of the historic Norwood Theatre, which they inhabit. Just 20 minutes south of Boston, Fiddlehead has been coined “the gem in Norwood Center.” Brendan McNab and Bridget Beirne, recent stars of Speakeasy’s Parade, join forces once again playing Professor Higgins and Eliza in My Fair Lady. Fiddlehead’s critically acclaimed A Christmas Carol returns this year for an encore. Elliot Norton and IRNE award-winning Leigh Barrett and Maureen Keiller lead a cast of fabulous ladies in Steel Magnolias. With choreographer, Wendy Hall, Crazy for You is guaranteed to have audiences toe-tapping. Stacey Stephens, Fiddlehead’s Artistic Director, is very excited about all of the changes going on. “We’ve been very fortunate in the past to have such wonderful people on our stage, Stephens said, “but by going professional and hiring equity performers, it allows us to have the best person possible for each role. Stephens has worked with McNab, Beirne, and Keiller before and is excited to be working with them again. Although he hadn’t worked with Leigh Barrett before, she was Stephen’s ultimate choice for M’Lynn and he couldn’t be more ecstatic. “Steel Magnolias has a special place in my heart. My dad turned our family garage into a beauty salon for my mother. Her salon just celebrated their 40th year. I grew up in this kind of salon.
