SHAKESPEARE NOW! SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT
Boston - September 11, 2007 - Long-time A.R.T. Associate Artist David Wheeler will be directing, and his son, actor Lewis Wheeler, will be taking the title role in Shakespeare Now! Theatre Company's upcoming production of William Shakespeare's HAMLET.
Said Linda Lowy, the company's Artistic Director, "I'm absolutely thrilled to work with this gifted father/son team, especially on HAMLET which has so much to do with the father-son relationship. It's going to be a fascinating experience."
HAMLET will run from October 31 through November 20, 2007 at Tower Auditorium, Mass. College of Art, 621 Huntington Avenue, Boston, Mass. with weekday student matinees and one performance for the general public on Sat., November 17th.
In Spring 2008, Shakespeare Now! resumes its school-touring season with its three hour-long productions: Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Macbeth. The company also provides year-round interactive, in-school workshops and multi-day residencies on the language, texts, and imagery of Shakespeare. ABOUT SHAKESPEARE NOW!
