ORFEO GROUP PRESENTS A COMMUNITY BARD-B-Q

Orfeo Group Presents a Community Bard-B-Q

(Boston, MA)— Orfeo Group, the Elliot Norton Award winning theatre company, is offering discounted and free admission to The Reduced
Shakespeare Company’s THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED). The production will be presented outdoors under natural light at Christian Herter Park, home of the Publick Theatre of Boston, 1175 Soldiers Field Road, Brighton. Show times are Thursdays-Sundays at  6:45ish and Saturdays at 2ish.

Half-Price Summer Season Bailout: All tickets at the Ridiculously Reduced Price of: $15.00. Friday nights are FREE with a Student ID.
Thursday night performances are FREE FOR ALL.

Last seen at the intimate Factory Theatre with a FREE production of LOOK BACK IN ANGER, Orfeo Group is planning something completely different this year. Thanks to the generosity of the Publick Theatre and the fact that they are taking a year off from their summer programming, Orfeo Group is taking over the 200 seat outdoor amphitheatre in Christian Herter Park to produce an irreverent, rollicking production of Complete Works.

“It’s an exercise in community building,” says Orfeo member Risher Reddick. The show will be presented outdoors under natural light with
food, drink and a vibrant social atmosphere. In addition to the play, there will be a variety of extension programming ranging from Kids4Kids
Shakespeare performances to dance groups and a lecture on The Music of the Spheres. Some of these events will be preludes to our show and others will be free, independent productions utilizing the space in our down times. The climax of our summer will be an "Orfeofest" day on July 26th featuring a full day of various performances including a whiffle ball game with the cast and crew.

An outdoor barbeque performance as Shakespeare [might’ve] intended! We will have grills available for cooking – so feel free to come early and bring favorite grill-ables! You might even find yourself playing frisbee with the cast!

WARNING: This show is a non-stop roller-coaster ride through the Shakespearean canon. We ask that audience members keep all body parts inside the ride at all times, secure all loose articles, clothing, long hair, and remain seated in an upright position and hold on until the
ride comes to an oh-so-Shakespearean full stop.

"The funniest show you are likely to see in your entire lifetime."
Montreal Gazette

"Shakespeare as it was back in the Bard's day: bawdy, irreverent,
sublimely entertaining."
Miami Herald

“If you like Shakespeare, you'll like this show. If you hate Shakespeare, you'll love this show!" The Today Show

THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (abridged) is directed by Steven Barkhimer and features Daniel Berger-Jones, Gabriel Kuttner, and Risher Reddick.

On FREE performance nights, tickets will be allotted on a first come first served basis one hour before show time. To reserve tickets for
other performances, go to the Orfeo Website at www.orfeogroup.org or call 617-824-4215.
