DAVID COLFER, BOARD PRESIDENT
David Colfer is the Managing Director of the Brandeis Theater Company which he joined in 2002 following 15 years of successful theater management in Boston commercial theater, including Broadway in Boston/Clear Channel Entertainment. For five years he managed and supervised the restoration of the legendary Colonial Theatre, the oldest continuously operating theatre in Boston. Mr. Colfer also built and opened the Stuart Street Playhouse, where as Managing Director he supervised long runs of the hits Stomp and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. He independently produced A Christmas Carol with Gerald Dickens, Charles Dickens' great-great-grandson, and served as Marketing Director for Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's Elliot Norton Award-winning Twelfth Night and the long-running I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. Mr. Colfer is also a board member of Double Edge Theatre in Ashfield, MA, a member of the Theater Arts Marketing Alliance in Boston, and a member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers. He received degrees in management and communications from Boston University. David joined the StageSource board in fall 2001 and was elected President in fall 2004.
