Michael Portantiere is the editor-in-chief of TheaterMania.com. He previously held positions as managing editor of In Theater Magazine and regional editor for Back Stage. Portantiere has contributed freelance articles to Playbill and Stagebill, and has written notes for the CD booklets accompanying recordings of Little Me (Varèse Sarabande), The Most Happy Fella (JAY Records), and the New York Philharmonic recording of Sweeney Todd with George Hearn and Patti LuPone. He holds an M.A. in Theater Education from New York University.
