BOSTON THEATRE WORKS ANNOUNCES 2007-2008 SEASON

Boston Theatre Works Announces
Our 2007/2008 Season

Tragedy Tomorrow Comedy Tonight
Don't miss the classic Stephen Sondheim musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Director Erick Divine strips down this classic musical tale of a crafty slave who struggles to win the hand of a beautiful yet slow-witted courtesan for his young master in exchange for freedom.

Greetings Prophet. The Great Work begins.
The Messenger has arrived.

Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize winning Angels in America: Parts I & II is a tale of agony and redemption, loss and discovery, heaven and earth. This production will be directed by Artistic Director Jason Southerland and Nancy Curran Willis who previously teamed up for BTW’s critically-acclaimed and visually-stunning production of The Laramie Project.

He have his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him.
Jonathan Carr directs The Crucible, Arthur Miller's timeless tale of public outrage and fear. Miller used 17th century America to reflect metaphorically on his own time in the 1950s. America today faces many of the same challenges as we confront the specter of terrorism: how do we stand strongly in support of the principles of personal freedom in the face of our fear?

Love can never die, but baby love can kill.
BTW presents the world premiere of Love Kills, which follows the story Charles Starkweather, a spree killer who murdered 11 victims in Nebraska and Wyoming during a road trip with his underage girlfriend Caril Ann Fugate. He became a national fascination, eventually inspiring the films The Sadist, Badlands and Natural Born Killers.
