BROADWAY ACROSS AMERICA – BOSTON ANNOUNCES THE
2007-2008 LEXUS BOSTON AREA DEALERS SERIES
Broadway Across America – Boston announced today its upcoming 2007-2008 Broadway season for The Colonial Theatre and The Opera House which will include eleven theatrical productions. Highlights of the announcement event included special guest appearances by Judy Kaye, who performed “The Worst Pies in London” and will star as Mrs. Lovett in the upcoming national tour of 2006 Tony Award-winning director John Doyle’s SWEENEY TODD, which launches at Boston’s Colonial Theatre; Kevin McCollum - Producer of the Tony Award-winning productions AVENUE Q and THE DROWSY CHAPERONE and AVENUE Q cast member Rob McClure who sang “I Wish I Could Go Back To College” were highlights at today’s announcement. Also headlining the upcoming season will be Cameron Mackintosh’s London sensation MY FAIR LADY directed by Trevor Nunn and choreographed by Matthew Bourne.
Blockbuster musicals returning to Boston include WICKED which returns after its record-breaking sold- out engagement at The Opera House in 2006, followed by the ultimate feel good show MAMMA MIA! and the Tony Award-winning production of Monty Python’s SPAMALOT. Also slated for the upcoming season is the return of David Copperfield: An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion which guarantees to reach into the audiences minds and hearts for an evening they won’t forget!
Broadway Across America – Boston is delighted to offer families the opportunity to enjoy a Family Series for the first time which will include new productions of Thomas & Friends Live! On Stage in Thomas Saves the Day marking Thomas’s international stage debut, Arthur Live! “Arthur Tricks the Tooth Fairy” based on the award-winning book series by Marc Brown and finally families can go on a musical adventure with Stanley Lambchop as he travels the world in The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley.
