FREE AND DISCOUNT TICKET OFFERS
StageSource makes available thousands of dollars in free and discount tickets to many area theatres every year, exclusively to StageSource members.

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS CARD
This ticket discount program is designed to develop audiences for our member theatres. Over 50 theatre companies throughout the region offer two-for-one tickets with this card, which is distributed to over 50,000 individuals. Many theatre companies offer this free benefit to their subscribers.

ONLINE RESUME AND HEADSHOT DATABASE and LIBRARY AND TALENT BANK
Our online searchable database contains resumes and/or headshots of over a thousand performers, directors, designers, playwrights, technicians, and administrators. In addition, we house an in-office library of resumes and headshots, available to theatre companies, film producers, and casting agents, and a collection of scripts, directories, periodicals, and other theatre resources is available for loan. Organizations provide the StageSource library perusal copies of scripts of their current season plays for our members to read prior to auditions.

ANNUAL AUDITIONS
Over 60 producers and casting agents from around the region see over 500 actors (Equity and non-Equity). The Equity auditions have been approved by Actors' Equity Association to satisfy part of the NEAT (New England Area Theatres) contract.

PRODUCTION AND ADMINISTRATION JOB EXPO
This annual event brings together members of the theatrical community who work behind the scenes with companies that interview applicants for positions at their theatres. The Expo is co-sponsored by the Boston Dance Alliance and United States Institute of Theatre Technology, New England.

BOSTON THEATRE CONFERENCE, EVENTS and CONVENINGS
The Boston Theatre Conference is held biennially, gathering members of the theatrical community to weigh in on critical issues.  This event features keynote speakers, discussions on issues facing the theatre community, and networking opportunities. Events and convenings such as member nights at performances, meetings, and cocktail partices and receptions bring together hundreds of members of the community each year. StageSource also presents an annual Theatre Hero Award at one of these events each year. Past Theatre Hero Award recipients include Jack Welch (2000), Kate Snodgrass (2001), Wheelock Family Theatre (2002), Spiro Veloudos (2003), Jacqui Parker (2004), Scott Edmiston (2005), Susan Gassett (2006), and James Spruill (2007).

THE STAGEPAGE and ONLINE CALENDAR
The StagePage is a quarterly calendar of theatre events and performances in New England. StageSource also hosts an online Opening Night/Press Night calendar of theatrical performances and events throughout New England.

THE SOURCE DIRECTORY 2007 and THE SOURCE ONLINE
The Source Directory 2007 is the only complete resource guide to Boston theatre.  Source Directory 2007 contains thousands of listings of individual theatre artists, theatre companies, rehearsal and performance spaces, casting agencies, training resources, services, and many additional resources for the entire theatre community.  Membership includes a supscription to The Source Online, a comprehensive searchable database.  Non-members may also purchase an online subscription to the Source.   

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
A series of workshops, master classes and seminars is presented each year featuring different topics such as auditions and career development, self producing, physical comedy, voice-over, tax preparation, movement, dialects, stage combat, technical production, directing Shakespeare, marketing, and legal issues.

THEATRE ARTS MARKETING ALLIANCE and BOSTON DRAMATISTS
Two initiatives focusing on marketing and playwrights.  Highlights have included the TAMA Audience Survey conducted at 20 theatres in 2004, Explore Boston Theatre (a project funded in part by a John and Abigail Adams grant), networking among marketing professionals for small and mid-sized theatres, and sharing ideas and resources. 

DIVERSITY INITIATIVE
This ongoing initiative is designed to increase employment opportunities and community awareness for multicultural and physically challenged theatre artists. StageSource works with theatres and audiences on issues of access for underserved audiences.

EDUCATION INITIATIVE
This initiative is designed to increase community awareness and opportunities for young adult theatre artists. Programs include StageSource Scholarship Awards for graduating hish school students, seminars at local college and university theatre programs to expose students to successful theatre artists working in Greater Boston and internship/mentoring opportunities with area theatres and theatre artists.

HEALTH AND DENTAL INSURANCE and DISCOUNT FITNESS CLUB MEMBERSHIPS
Health and dental plan options are available for freelance and self-employed theatre artists, and for theatre companies and their organizations through Health Services Administrators. FRIEND OF STAGESOURCE
With a tax-deductible contribution of $50, receive a Circle of Friends card and one-year subscription to The StagePage, the quarterly calendar listing theatre events and performances at hundreds of theatres through the Friend of StageSource program.

THEATRE COMMUNITY BENEVOLENT FUND
The Theatre Community Benevolent Fund
is a non-profit organization administered by StageSource. The fund provides financial relief in a confidential, respectful manner to individual and non-profit organizational members of StageSource facing extreme illness, catastrophic acts of nature, and other events such as vandalism or theft, and who have limited or no resources with which to handle such occurrences. The Boston Theatre Marathon and May Day! a region-wide fundraising campaign at area theatres, are two lead funding sources for TCBF.
