MCC CULTURAL PARTICIPATION SEMINAR

Massachusetts Cultural Council's
INCREASING CULTURAL PARTICIPATION SEMINAR
(supported by a grant from The Wallace Foundation)

The Fall/Winter 2005 Sessions will be at the Boston Center for Adult Education
Tuesday, November 1
Tuesday, November 15
Tuesday, December 6

Increasing Cultural Participation is a three-day seminar focusing on strategic program planning to help organizations build audiences. The Participation Model, which anchors the workshop curriculum, focuses on an organization's participants - their perceptions and experiences, as well as the benefits and barriers they encounter. This is more than marketing! Seminar participants will concentrate on organizational and audience assessment, planning, setting priorities, brainstorming strategies to increase participation, and program evaluation.

Peer exchange is a core element in the Increasing Cultural Participation Seminar. We will welcome 10 organizations to form a peer support group, share challenges and best practices, and help each other through project implementation. The fee is $200 per organization, to cover the cost of meals and workshop materials. Organizations must commit to sending two staff or board members who can attend all three days of the seminar.

Application deadline is Monday, October 3, 2005.
Applications are available online at www.massculturalcouncil.org/services/seminar.html
Registrants will be notified by October 10 if a space in the workshop has been reserved for them.

For more information, please contact Program Coordinator Eric D'Alessandro at 617-727-3668, extension 261 or send Eric an email.

Increasing Cultural Participation is sponsored jointly by Massachusetts Cultural Council, ArtsBoston, Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston, Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, and Greater Worcester Community Foundation.  With special thanks to The Boston Center for Adult Education www.bcae.org
