Gender Parity Task Force Hackathon

We've come a long way baby... or have we? Help us document the gender-related hiring stats in New England theatre in 2018-19, to compare to previous and future years. All you need is a laptop and a good attitude. Or a bad attitude, we can work with that too.

When: June 17th 2019

If you can come for an hour, that's great.  If you can help at home or at StageSource Offices at other times during the week, that's great too!  Just contact us at

What is the Gender Parity Task Force?

The Gender Parity Task Force is a working group formed in 2014 dedicated to the goal of "50/50 by 2020"— a 50% representation of people with marginalized gender identities in the New England theater scene by the year 2020. But that's nearly here- what are we working toward now?  Join up and help us work it out.

Who are we looking for?

YOU.  Whoever you are, wherever you are.  Come!  All are welcome.  If you are into what we do, join our Gender Parity Task Force working group- or just show up to support the effort for an afternoon.

What to bring?

Your Laptop.  If you do not have a laptop please let us know, we will try our best to supply you with one for the event.

During the event, members will speak about the Gender Parity Task Force and what we do, and would love to hear your ideas about how to achieve our goals. And there will be snacks.  After all, a Hackathon ain’t a Hackathon without the proper nourishment (i.e. Cheetos)
