Maurice (they/them/theirs) is a local actor, educator, and director. Their mission is to use the performing arts as a means to inspire civic engagement and to provide representation through the use of inclusive storytelling.
Maurice has recently appeared in This Place Displaced with Artists' Theater of Boston and Hamlet; Romeo and Juliet; and A Midsummer Night's Dream as a part of the Shakespeare in Education tour with the Boston Theater Company. Upcoming this spring they'll be directing Concrete Dreams as a part of TC Squared's The Next Stage Festival of New Work. As well as performing in the Open Theatre Project's Gay Shorts 3. Later this summer they look forward to returning to the consent education and bystander intervention program It IS My Place with True to Life Training.
When they aren't in a rehearsal room or on stage they operate as the Coordinator of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Artists' Theater of Boston. They also work as a Teaching Artist and Production Associate with the Actors' Shakespeare Project.
