Pascale Florestal (she/her/hers) is a Director, Educator and Collaborator. Her recent directing credits include; Code Listen at The Millennium Stage of The John F. Kennedy Performing Arts Center, Shrek The Musical! (Greater Boston Stage Company), and An Education in Prudence (Open Theatre Project). Pascale has also directed several staged readings of new plays by Michael Hisamoto, Marcus Gardley, Obehi Janice, Phaedra Michelle Scott, Lynne Brandon, Erin Lerch and Greg Lam. As an Assistant to the Director she has worked with Liesl Tommy, Billy Porter, Paul Daigneault and M. Bevin O'Gara.
Her work as a director focuses on supporting artists and stories rarely seen on stage and providing a platform for them to be heard. As an educator Pascale’s work focuses on the use of theater as a tool for advocating social justice. She has worked with City Year Miami, Huntington Theater Company, Company One, Boch Performing Arts Center, The Theater Offensive, Greater Boston Stage Company’s Young Company and is the current Education Director of The Front Porch Arts Collective. As the Education Director of The Front Porch Arts Collective she recently piloted the Young Critics Program in partnership with WBUR’s ARTery to incubate and diversify the next generation of Theater critics.
Pascale is the Boston Project Coordinator with SpeakEasy Stage, where she supports playwrights and produces new plays focused on stories about Boston. Pascale currently works at the Boston Center for the Arts as the Venue Associate and is one of the Co-Director’s for the True Colors Spring Troupe with The Theater Offensive. Coming up, Pascale will be directing a staged reading of Phaedra Michelle Scott’s Play DIASPORA! June 10th as part of the Boston Project.
