Michelle (she/her/hers) is an actor and aspiring producer in the Boston area. She wants to be the sort of artist that understands what it means to be both on and off stage. She was recently in the University of Massachusetts theatre production of By The Way Meet Vera Stark, in the role of Lottie/Carmen directed by StageSource’s Executive Director Dawn M. Simmons. She is currently Assistant Stage Managing UMB’s current production of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. Last winter she was able to produce two workshops with London actor Patrice Naiambana, during these workshops they explored how black bodies take on the stage, and how we can decolonize the cannons that exist for actors of color. This January she will be auditioning at the University Resident Theatre Association (URTA) to further pursue her acting and producing career. She wants to ensure she has the proper tools to enter this field with confidence, personality, drive, and promise.
